1. Was the hospitality industry your first choice of a career path?
No. I immigrated from Iran to pursue a career in Engineering. While pursing my Master's Degree in Engineering I worked in restaurants. After I graduated I worked as an Engineer. I stopped working in that field because I realized I liked the hospitality industry more.
Ali Azima is the Chief Financial Officer for Thompson Hospitality. He has both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Engineering and has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
